UOK Client Information
The information below is to provide Counsellors with information and advice when working on the University of Kent (UOK) contract.
Therapy Centre Services have been awarded this contract, going live on Monday 1st July 2024.
Referrals are for 12 sessions
All employees are offered 12 sessions initially.
The University of Kent will authorise up to a maximum of 20 sessions in circumstances where additional sessions are clinically recommended. These need to be requested using the standard interim report.
Clients can self-fund further sessions after the employer funded sessions have concluded. Please complete the online form;

For a client to move to self-funding, the University funded sessions should be completed and the final report submitted, Then complete the online form above so that our admin team can process the client as self-funded. This will ensure that the therapeutic support funded by the University is concluded, before the employee transitions to a self-funded client.
Initial Appointment
Contracting with standard EDR statement of understanding
Complete GAD & PHQ assessments and submit scores;

Final Session

Complete a standard final session report
Interim Report
The interim report can be submitted at any time to request additional sessions if required, over and above the 12 initial sessions authorised.

Please note if you are working with a client presenting with work related issues an interim report must be completed at the interim session, with any information relevant to their Manager to ensure that the University can provide any specific support to the employee.
DNA's
We cannot charge for DNA'd sessions so it is important that suitable next appointment dates are discussed and agreed with your clients, and the importance of attending all sessions is discussed, due to the limited number of sessions available for them. Any missed appointments do have to be notified to their employer.
