What drew you towards applying for a placement with Therapy Centre Services? Was there something in particular about our way of working that resonated with you?

When you think about your time here, what are you most hoping to gain from us as a placement provider? And in return, what strengths, qualities, or experiences do you feel you can offer as a Counsellor-in-Training?

When you completed your Fit for Practice assessment, what strengths stood out to you? Were there any areas you recognised as opportunities for learning and growth?

Is there something about you—perhaps a skill, a life experience, or a personal value—that feels central to why you’re on this counselling journey?

Do you currently hold a valid DBS certificate, or would that be something you’d need to arrange before starting?

Are there particular age groups or client situations you feel naturally drawn to working with?

In the early stages, you’ll be working with Service Level A clients with no identified risk. Are there any areas or presenting issues you’d prefer to avoid at this stage?

How many hours do you need to complete as part of your course?

When are you aiming to qualify?

If the relationship works well, would you like to continue with us after you qualify?

As many of our sessions and systems are online, have you ever faced challenges with technology? If so, how have you navigated those?

As part of your placement with us, you’ll need to have your own external supervisor who meets the requirements of your training provider. Do you already have a supervisor in place, or are you currently looking for one? If you do have one, could you share their name and contact details with us?

Are you currently on placement with another organisation, or have you applied elsewhere? How would that fit alongside your availability for us? Do you have any other commitments that might affect your ability to respond to messages or emails promptly?

All Counsellors-in-Training are asked to attend quarterly team meetings via Zoom. Would you be able to commit to this?

All clinical notes and reports need to be completed promptly after each session. Would you be able to commit to this standard?

We ask that all messages from our admin team are responded to within two hours during working hours. Is this something you can commit to?

What days and times are you available for placement work? How flexible could you be if a client needed to meet at a different time? When would you ideally like to begin?
