ANXIETY

Anxiety is a completely natural physical response to feeling under threat. This can manifest as feeling worried or afraid at what is about to, or may happen.

These feelings can vary from mild to extreme, and in some cases can result in panic attacks.

 

Some may experience psychological symptoms such as;

Inability to relax / switch 'off'

Feeling of dread

Can't stop worrying

Feeling others can sense your anxiety / being judged

Replaying stressful situations in your mind

  Some may experience physical symptoms such as;

 

A racing heart

Sweating

Restlessness

Feeling dizzy

Feeling nauseous

Problems sleeping

Panic attacks

When should you seek help with anxiety?

Extreme symptoms (either physical, psychological or both)

Prolonged / long lasting symptoms

Experiencing panic attacks

Getting in the way of normal daily functioning
